As fears grow of a possible Brexit, with the dramatic consequences this would have not just for the UK but Europe as a a whole, new grassroots groups and movements are mobilising to campaign not just for Britain to remain in the EU but for a new kind of Europe, the Europe we need.

On 28th May, DiEM25 , the movement founded by former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis, is organising a huge IN rally in London  under the banner, “Vote In: Another Europe Is Possible” .

This will be a participatory event with few speeches and many opportunities to talk to the presenters and talk to other participants in brainstorming sessions.

On the same day, meet ups are also being organised by DIEM across the UK and Europe to discuss s of the referendum and the UK's role in the EU.

The organisers are still looking for hosts in the UK – to register your interest in hosting a local DiEM meeting this Saturday 28th May to watch the livestream and discuss next steps
A map and listings of campaign events already created by partner movements or DiEM members can be viewed at this link:

From time to time we'll share exclusive interview clips (including never-seen-before footage), the most incisive blog posts and the most interesting dispatches from our event organisers as they take the europe debate to the furthest, biggest, smallest, weirdest, most unusual places around europe and beyond.

Join Wake Up Europe!

Wake Up Europe is a campaign brought to you by the Wake Up Foundation. It was sparked by the themes explored in The Great European Disaster Movie by Annalisa Piras and Bill Emmott.

We believe in the values that inspired the European project but that this project isn't working. Europe is sleep-walking towards disaster. We must wake up Europe so that we can save Europe from itself.

This job is too important to be left to the elites, the media, the political parties alone: ordinary people must be encouraged to discuss what Europe they want to see.
